You have to respect any two year old that runs a mile and a half, and wins. He not only wins, he destroys the field. The belmont is a perfect fit for this colt. Not sure why they have decided to pass on the Derby. If this horse is fit, and I am sure Drysdale has him in peak form, he should be a monster in Belmont.
Unfortunately, after his third place finish in the Preakness, he never regained his form..It appears the Triple Crown competition was a little too much.
El Padrino has the pedigree to negotiate the Derby distance. I really like this guy.
Algorithims, has great pedigree, and will get better at the longer distance. If he runs like his daddy, we will some great racing down the road.
El Padrino could be the sleeper for the Derby. Great pedigree. This colt should love the Derby distance.
Seventeen starts, and fourteen wins. No comment necessary. Absolute greatness. Not sure if we will ever see that again.
Eleven starts, and eight wins. the record speaks for itself. Great horse. Carries the bloodlines of slew, and Secretariat. Royalty for sure.
Shackelford is one tough horse, who loves to be in front. Not necessarily on the lead, but close. Love that horse. He always gives a giant effort.
My Adonis has the perfect pedigree for the Derby. He will improve as the distance is stretched. His sire,Pleasantly, out of Pleasant Colony loved the longer route. I remember Pleasant Colony, who could run all day. If he is true to his pedigree, and stays healthy, he will be a contender.
One of the greats. A.P. Indy always puts out runners. Great sire.
