I love this guy, too! I loved his daddy when he ran and he was my Derby pick (even though it was way early) when I saw that awesome strong late kick in the BC Juvy. I like to think I have a good eye especially for Derby horses and EA is going to be a good one! Another one I like a lot is Sway Away, another son of my favorite horse ever, Afleet Alex. I love his pedigree as well with tons of stamina influences and that strong late kick like his daddy. I went through Sway Away's pedigree and he has many different stamina influences that won at 10f and beyond like his daddy, AA, his BMS, Seattle Slew, Summer Squall who sired a Derby winner (Charismatic) and down his tail-female line with Nashua, Whirlaway and undefeated Colin. Alex, Slew, Nashua, Whirlaway and Colin all won the 12f Belmont! And as far as EA goes, I have some of his pedigree stats in another post below this one. My top 5 favorite Derby contenders right now are Dialed In, Sway Away, THAS, Elite Alex and Brethren.

Maybe we are all thinking too much about the Derby trail horses. Elite Alex has Borel and if he makes the Derby the others could be in big trouble!

Afleet Alex is one of my favorites I think he was just awsome.

i like archarcharch, but i bet Elite should be tough next round.

I would have loved to see him pull that ride the rail stuff anywhere in the 60s or 70s just to see how many hits he could take before stopped.No riders today put you to the rail like in the past.Back then that was holy ground.
