To preemptively clarify, I think both are "good" horses. What I mean is that they will more than likely be overbet on sentiment.
Simply stated, like Nicanor sentiment will always make Lentenor an underlay. The Horse Player who knows it's not a good horse can position to take advantage of sentiment.
@mblack If that horse wins the triple crown it only confirms how pathetically weak this crop of 3 year olds may be.
That finish by Lookin' at Lucky after being stopped is the turn of foot that wins derbys. Not apologizing or making a case, just advising folks to check the overhead replay before dismissing Lookin' at Lucky.
I'd go Eskendereya 7/2 and still put Lookin' at Lucky 3-1. You're welcome Mike Battaglia.
To be fair, the poor weather screwed up a lot of training schedules, RA just happens to be the most high profile. Doesn't excuse the ego it took to accept a challenge of this magnitude with a less than fit horse.
check that..today he came late in the slop, but that feb. allowance score was the railhole. sry.
Impressive run today. Hit the hole on the rail when it opened, changed leads at the 16th..beautiful effort.
The 11 is an Asmussen runner. No way that gets taken down.
