Stick a fork in ePad. Today's big surprise in the LA Derby at 109-1 was only beaten by 6 lengths in the Risen Star when ePad, Mark V and Z dagger finished ahead of him. How'd we miss that longshot?

Rags broke extremely well to be in second. Too bad Julien didn't maintain his position into the first turn and move up into the hole. Instead he settled and was soon 5th then 6th while the field surrounded him. He was behind a wall of horses as they came into the stretch. He weaved around horses that were altering their path in front of him. Once he got loose he began to roll. At Derby distance he wins. Julien admitted he screwed up. He's a big horse and needs to build momentum, like Zenyatta. He's still green but did everything his jock asked. Can't fault the horse or the trainer. Julien better not repeat that mistake or he will lose. Rags should be there at the wire provided he is allowed to stay clear..
