You know I'm always looking out for you, Brian.
I guess I got a little over excited when writing. Correction made. Thanks, Eden St. Clair!
The research that goes into any racing technology ultimately leads to better understanding the subject which either directly or indirectly results in safer equipment. I completely agree that faster horses at the expense of their safety is not something I would support nor endorse.
Currently, Los Alamitos, San Luis Rey Downs, and Santa Anita are all being used. The better question will be what happens between Del Mar's summer and fall meets. Currently they do not plan to be open for the months of Sept and Oct which means all horses will have to van north, and then return 2 months later if they want to race again.
TV, Danny Shum is a 10% winner, not 30%
Richard's Kid in the Marathon!?!?! That is great news. I think he will do very well there.
I thought NBC did a pretty good job for the Derby, but they are definitely regressing for their Preakness coverage. The best they could do for the Dixie Handicap was a slow motion video of the last 50 yards. Lets hope they do better for the Belmont Stakes.
Thank you for the nice words everyone. Ashley and Matt Shiffman (aka Andy Scoggin), it was great to be able to hang out with you guys! We definitely have to do that again soon
Cocoa, I see your American Eclipse and raise you Lexington
Cirrus sure looks tough this year, but the lack of pace is what beat him last year, and this year does not look to be much faster. Hopefully chasing Frankel didn't take too much out of the gelding. I would love to see him win it!
