so many injuries/fatalities the last few days - gruesome holiday weekend
Flatter, Galex's sire, only raced 6 times... someone said on another forum that his runners only average 10 starts
I think what is bothering people about this is that the announcement was rather abrupt without really declaring whether Blind Luck is officially retired, or the actual results of her recent tests even if there was no confirmed diagnosis of unsoundness. But not everyone is a public relations genius, so this is how the decision has been handled. But nothing suggests her owners and training team are not acting in her best interests, selling her at the top of her career will insure she has a home amongst the top broodmares and stallions in the world and will be well managed and cared for.
