Only beaten about 3 lengths. But for La Verdad, that was a no show. Had she run on an off track before today?
She can run a :21 and change opening 1/4 and keep going. That is a Racehorse.
Uhm. Tmallios. WTC lost last out to a "cheap refurbished claimer". John Henry was a "cheap refurbished claimer". As was Seabiscuit. And Lava Man. And Stymie. And that "cheap refurbished claimer" ran just off the track record.
Palace Malice won three races against substandard competition. (Well, NI DID set a track record at GP, but what do those mean anymore?) Then be won the Met Mile, beating a colt who just yesterday missed by 1/2 length in a G1 to a horse who ran just off the track record. Belle Gallantey and Bayern both ran superb races, but must follow them up with more like that before I think they are legitimate. Yes, Bayerd ran an explosive race in the Woody Stephens, but that was going 7f and the Haskell was his first route win.
DIRT Mile. Hahaha, confusing names.
Just as I was penning the next Bayern joke... No, I did reasonably decent handicapping here.
Not defending his run. Just saying that he was taken out of his usual running style. Kid Cruz went just as wide as Wicked Strong.
Apparently Linda Rice thought he had a weird trip too: http://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-racing/articles/86403/tonalist-kid-cruz-exit-jim-dandy-well
He beat Frankie's little brother and did it nicely.
This certainly flatters Sea The Moon. Love that colt.
