Her half brother Flying Cat debuts Saturday in race 2 at Lone Star. He is part of a coupled entry with the gelding Ghost Trail, who is out of Fifty's second dam. They are 4/5 on the morning line, and will likely be bet down to even lower odds. I will be watching.
Tiznow had a somewhat toued trip in his debut, he was wide and had to steady. We will see how this horse turns out.
And why do you say that? We received about a two minute look into this horse's talents and weaknesses when he raced Friday. His trainer has been with the horse countless more house, and knows the horse far better than any of us could. He will train the horse as he sees fit.
Scott Hazelton just re-tweeted a Tweet stating that the state vet has examined Shared Belief and he is uninjured. I don't know if it's true or not
Being a jerk? So, having a negative opinion about the debut of an over-hyped colt who ran dead last is being a jerk? I even like the colt and think that your accusation is ridiculous.
I personally neither liked nor disliked his dam. But the hype on this horse was ridiculous. I have nothing against this colt, he's a handsome horse, but I'd rather think highly of him based on the horse as an individual rather than his dam's success. His debut was not exactly inspiring, perhaps he'll be better next time. Perhaps he won't.
At 50/1, I'd place a bit to show on Mr. Z. He tries hard, like Samraat last year. That one outran his pedigree and odds to be 5th.
Incorrect, Vic. Foreign trained and raced Cañonero II came over here to win the Derby.
Texas Air is one I'd expect to see in the Graded races this meet if he runs well here. I do think this is shorter than his best distance. Nublado Bling is a personal favorite and I hope to see him run well.
