Not sure what the connections are planning with him. I was not trying to make a declarative statement on what he is. Just sharing my observations of him from his morning activity up to this point.
He broke less than 2 lengths behind Tortola and Red Globe. Rider asked him to split horses approaching the eighth pole. Responded with a big climbing action while on the wrong lead. Pushed along but looking second best to Tortola late. Second best on gallop out as well. Ploddy/grindy type right now.
Bourbon Bay worked in company with Fire With Fire this morning. Bourbon actually broke in front of the gray. Duo came home stride for stride. Bourbon is not training as flashy as he did a year or two ago. Drill was fine but nothing exciting.
Broke a length behind Roxanne O. Rallied on the rail in the stretch. Best by a length to minor pressure. 24.20, 36.60, 1:01.0 on my watch. Out 1:14.00. Blue collar drill.
