Seems like it would be a sure thing

I dont really agree with that. I think Pennsylvania is the easy way. The Pacific Classic wouldn't have been the easy way and then we wouldve seen Chrome against shared belief, and the travers wouldnt have been easy either. I dont understand why they would go to Pennsylvania when they had the pacific classic in their backyard and other big races down the road leading to the breeders cup.
Horses are great animals I just dont see all the popularity of this one as a race horse.
Shared belief plays it safe!!!??? He was the first 3 year old to take on older horses in stakes competition in just his third start of the year off of injury, not to mention at a 1 1/4. Nothing he did was playing it safe. He is quite possibly the best 3 year old and best horse on the west coast. Chrome should have pointed toward something this weekend with the Travers and Pacific Classic. Instead he will dodge older horses on the west coast and by going to the Pennsylvania derby where he will not even have to deal with the likes of wicked strong and tonalist because they will show up at belmont. To say Shared Belief played it safe is an absolute wrong statement.
What is there to love?
Why do people love this horse? He will never win a race away from Gulfstream.
So much speed sets up for closers. Coup de Grace- Myositis Dan exacta.
If there were 10 horses in this race and she had the 7 no one would care. Since when is post position a big deal for a closer? She is just going to sit back and let all of the speed inside of her go. I think Close Hatches is the superior filly however and will win this one.
I don't see this horse winning the Travers. He will most likely be getting pressed by both Wicked Strong and Tonalist and the Saratoga tiring track over a mile and a quarter does not set up well for a speed horse. Also, horses that have come from monmouth and the haskell for the travers have run awful in recent years. The tracks are completely different and it is shown that having a race over the track at Saratoga is a HUGE advantage. Just look at the past few Travers winners. The last 4 have come out of the Jim Dandy, and 6 of the last 8 have. Not to mention, Bafferts horses havent exactly liked Saratoga the last few years either.
