If he and Malagacy withdraw, you are getting less and less pace in this race.
His work this morning likely made him my #1 choice for the Ky Derby. Awesome work.
are you saying Irish War Cry is a throw out for you, vic?
I'm sure we will talk next week, but I basically agree. I will probably use him defensively, like a large Oaks/Derby double bet just to hedge in case he does win, but in reality I would want like 10/1 or more on him and you will never get that, probably won't even get half of that.
Yeah he's a honest, hard-trying horse who runs every time. If something is off, they need to speak up.
The sagas of Girvin continue to take some odd twists. It was now see that Girvin was training with Z bar shoes, indicative of some sort of hoof issue. When reached for comment, Joe Sharp basically didn't answer the question and hung up. Maybe the full story isn't being divulged by either side, but at this point I feel bad for anyone backing this horse. This type of shady, dishonest, and lack of forthcoming nature just make Joe Sharp come off as a classless trainer.
Go get 'em Hence!
Post 7, Partly Cloudy - 71 degrees, 4 lengths :)
There's alot of 'potential' pace in this years KY Derby. I say potential because a few of the horses have shown speed in some races, but not all. Horses like: Battle of Midway, Always Dreaming, Irish War Cry, Gormley, Irap, State of Honor, Malagacy, Fast and Accurate, and Battalion Runner. Just given that group, there should be a pretty lively pace.
YES! The best option available in my opinion.
