Why was Gov. Charlie such a long shot for the derby now he is above the other horses?? I liked him all along.
His Daddy was great on Turf too, but wow could Big Brown accelerate on the dirt. Brown almighty already is looking so much bigger and stronger then just a few months ago. I can't wait to see if dirt is the answer for this horse.
Gemologist loses one HUGE race and people act like he has something to prove. I think the Haskell is just what the Vet ordered. Reminds me a bit of the 2008 Haskell.
I hope so too.
My Favorite was Big Brown. It was great to see him back after his only loss.
Don't count out Gemologist. He had a foot injury in the Derby. He will have no problem keeping with this field if healthy.
The Belmont is such a chess match. Johnny V on Union Rags does give Rags the advantage he will need to try to beat IllHaveAnother.
I was never a Fan of Union Rags. I do think his chances are much better with a jockey change though. I just don't like a horse that people have to make excuses for. If Union Rags wins the Belmont I am sure I'llHaveAnother will offer no excuses
I am still amazed at how well Bodemeister hung on at the end. How often do you see a horse on the lead just hit a wall and go straight to the back of the pack? Bode seems to keep improving. I think he is the real deal for 3YOs this year. A few more races will tell more..
Nively Done. One year I will knock that Derby Pick 4 down. AT $31K obviously few people did this year. I have a feeling most of those people that did collect paid a nice price for their deep tickets
