I saw Big Brown and Smarty Jones there - My KY Derby Heroes. Great stables, classy bunch of people.
I agree that Ice Box will take Lucky in the Belmont. Watch out for Setsuko. That horse has a late jolt also.
I think blaming CD is unfair. They had horrible rain for a week straight that put much of KY and Tennesee in a flood zone. No dirt track can take that kind of beating.

Great Race to Super Saver. Calvin Ran it PERFECTly. That horse made me a believer. NO way he can compete with some of these closers in the Belmont. Another 10 feet and Ice Box had him. I agree these horses are all average and some other Average horse will get a good run and win the Preakness.
Why Does Gomez always run this Horse into so much trouble? Why did he go to the center of the Track in 2009? any other race he is the Man? I am confused why he makes poor descisions on Derby Day. No shocker that Lucky got pinched against the rail in such a large field. As good as He is He never had a chance.
What Happened to Sydneys Candy? He was doing good then just looked like he stopped on a dime. he looked very nervous going into the gate. I wonder if it had to do with his patched hoof. Well how about make music for me? I am suret that blew up a lot of Superfectas, sure did mine.
David? This is a horse that totally pooped down the stretch in 2 not fast races. He hasn't won since last November against a bunch of 'No impact on the trail' horses.
BTW - I visited BigBrown a month ago at ThreeChimneys Farm. He still looks great. So did Smarty Jones.
Humphrey - I agree Big Brown is not the best ever...he lost one race and you are picking on him? I am sure If Big Brown used Steroids it is the same stuff horse is getting. Lets face it look at the money on the line.
