LOL, Vinnie! I'd be foolish to say that this year's renewal of the JCGC is the strongest, but I think calling for a downgrade is a little rash. In this decade, Curlin, Summer Bird, Bernardini, and Mineshaft have all won the race. Blame competed in it. These are all legit Grade I types. And this is a legit grade one race. You want to talk about Grade I's on this circuit that should be downgraded...start with the Sword Dancer :)
If he were a true A-lister, ESPN would see fit to televise his race in their 3-hour coverage window on Saturday. He's a wonderful horse, but not the type that draws in the casual fan. That's all I was driving at w/that line.
Er, maybe I wasn't right behind ya, eh Michael? :-)
Nice Work, E! Let the record show I was right behind ya!
Nice work here, Chris. Okay, I'll go ahead and be the chalk eating weasel. I adore Stacelita here. Jersey Joe Bravo absolutely moved too early with her in the UN. I truly believe a good ride gets her to the winner's circle that day. She gets a huge upgrade to one of the best turf pilots in the land, and should romp against this bunch. 2-1 will seem like a gift.
Naturally, Brian. :-) Orange, me too. Matt, hope you're having a great time!
Nice work as always, Brian. Agreed on Zazu, game in defeat. Very interesting to see where she goes from here. Love to see her come east for the Beldame.
It's a wonderful card with tremendous heritage. Three great races. Wish a few of the horses from the Diana were headed out there for the Beverly D, but other than that, it looks like the festival will come up very salty once again this year. Fingers crossed for the weather.
LOL 13 Outsider, I know better than to mess with Texas. I hear nothing but wonderful things about many of those cities, and would love to, one day, check it out for myself. Still, New York is the ________ capitol of the world. Be it arts & entertainment, finance, sports, media , etc., New York features the cream of the crop in so many different walks of life.
