tmallios1, while I know very little about the extreme details of racing, I agree with you statement. His closing run wasnt "ultra impressive" IMO. He would need to bring more than that to close a gap on CC, or a pace set to tire CC. But, Im just a newbie : )
My raindrop comment was an indirect way of fearing a wet, muddy track should the weather be foul. This would be a new (to him)condition?
Sullivan, please elaborate? Thanks!
Im still newer fan of horse racing, but in the three years since Ive been into it, California Chrome has me the most excited since Shackleford won the Preakness. My concerns are; will he travel well and be comfortable to perform outside of California, has he ever even seen a rain drop (jk), and of course his gate pick. I fear if he is late out of the gate like the SAD, he will be stuck mid pack taking a face full of dirt for at least a mile. But, this is my year folks, I mean C,mon, my Seahawks won the Super Bowl!
Im new to horse racing, but Im wondering how many more starts Verrazano might have before May?
Wow. I think we log onto HRN to enjoy and discuss horse racing. I belong to many different forums, for several different hobbies of mine. This bantering is a little inmature.
Yes he did!
I felt exactly the same way AmbitiousD!!! Im really going to miss watching him.
I believe if he breaks clean, and gets to the front without troubles, he will win! This is my hope for him!!
Shackleford is the single reason for my new found interest in horse racing. I will miss watching him very much. I can watch his Preakness win and his CH Stakes win over and over! I was so very disappointed when he stumbled out of the gate in the BCDM.
