Great piece, Dan. Dettori is a huge personality with the talent to go with it. I hope he can pull his life together and return to racing and provide the excitement that goes with his style.

Maddie, there is always someone at the racetrack willing to tell you a story. That's one of the great things about the track.

My Top 10 is public record and I am looking forward to being at the Belmont, the Haskell with Verrazano and Itsmyluckyday, the Travers with Normandy Invasion, and the Breeder's Cup. I'm glad we have a lot of competitive 3YOs still running.

Fiftyshadesofhay earned a 92 BSF in the B-ES.

On Saturday, the track at Pimlico was slow and favoring front runners and played to Oxbow, especially when he was left alone on the lead. Orb struggled against the track and managed to finish fourth. For a horse to win the Triple Crown he has to be able to overcome everything the comes their way. Orb could not do that. I still gave Orb my #1 vote vote in the NTRA 3YO poll for this week.

Oxbow got a 106 BSF for the Preakness.
