Wonderful to see the Derby 137 Champion cleared to crank it back up. Hopefully he'll get in a solid remainder of 2012 and all of 2013 before retirement to the breeding shed.

Unfortunately, TS, there are owners and connections that go Money, Horse, Fans in that order. They, as in the fable, are willing to kill the goose to get the golden eggs.
Interesting perspectives. IMO the horse's welfare always come sfirst, the human connections financial interests in the horse and charged to care for it come second and the very important fan base/betting public finishes third in this trifecta. All to promote the sport and its long term welfare.
