About me/racing interests:
Love to watch horseracing! I've never been to a race-track, but I plan on attending the 2015 KY Derby.

How did I get into racing?
Watched Big Brown win the Kentucky Derby, Preakness, and saw him pull up in the Belmont. Union Rags, and Shackleford!

Favorite racing moment?
Watching Union Rags win the Belmont. Shack winning by a rose. And my ALL TIME favorite is Rachel Alexandra beating the boys 3 times!

Watching this year's Oaks and watching her's after it really shows how amazing Rachel Alexandra was... She was just pure class and just pulled away without breaking a sweat. I don't think people understand how talented she really was...

I always love to look back on RA's career. She had an amazing career. She beat the KY Derby winner she beat a two Belmont winner's. She beat some of the best in her time. She really did prove herself out on the track. And not to mention she won 5 G1's in arow. Cannot wait to see her offspring run!

2 scenerios.scenerio #1. she is the only entrant in the field or scenerio #2. every other horses gates stay closed and she is the only one to break clean.she ran twice in the oaks and the breeders cup against the best competition,she was nowhere to be found.

humor.for a filly you want to run against the top colts in america.3rd and 4th against fillies is nowhere.she was non competitive in both races with a B.S excuse in the oaks.you claim she can compete against the boys.let her beat her own gender first.so now 3rd and 4th are accomplishments.no wonder you think she is so good.if she ever won one of those races,in your mind she might be the greatest of all time.she is good and that is it.

She's good, but not up to racing colts at the Belmont distance at this time IMO.

She's a really good filly. I'm not sure about the overdose of negativity surrounding her. She sparkled from the beginning. Her first two races were won by a combined 26 lengths. She then headed out My Happy Face in a thrilling race. She ran into a damn speed bias at Santa Anita, she had a less than ideal trip, and she managed third. Not to mention, Beholder just took advantage of the surface. She ran an OK race against Live Lively. Than, she smoked the competition by 21 3/4 lengths in the GP Oaks. She than played bumper cars, got mugged at the gate, forced into a weird scenario, and only loss by 2 1/2 lengths. Order of finish means something, but you must watch the races. She is the best 3 yr filly (of course, besides Kauai Katie).. I don't think she can beat the boys at Belmont, but her energy distribution is MUCH better suited for 12 furlongs than it is 9 furlongs. She's not up to the pace pressure, possibly, and I don't think she can beat the boys yet, but let's not downgrade this very talented filly, shall we?

SHe was 3rd in the BC and 4th in the Oaks. That is not 'no where to be found' Keep trying there. She is a very good filly - not ready to go up against the boys yet though.

What does Rags to Riches have to do with this? Dreaming of Julia is running against a different crop, with different pace scenario, with different surface (considering the surfaces change WEEKLY let alone every 5 years)... That's like saying so and so can't win the Triple Crown because he's not as good as Secretariat.

POE can run down Wise Dan. Wise Dan can't run down POE. If Wise Dan gets a flyer, expect big results. Try Mike Smith on him. Open up a good 4 lengths, and ask for more at the top of the lane. It might just work.

I see strategy playing a huge part in this race, and thus I also think having a savvy man like Johnny V up on Point of Entry helps that one's chances. POE has enough tactical speed that if Wise Dan draws an inside post, Velazquez can just keep Wise Dan boxed in behind Silver Max down the backstretch and then... *insert evil laugh here*

srategy is simple and the same in ANY OTHER BIG RACE (lareg fileld) get good position early, stay out of trouble, press and go with what you have left...Simple as that
