Miss Temple City / Roca Rojo / Time and Motion / Zandaya
It's been a year since you've been gone.. may you Rest In Peace.
Buck and Laz, if you're out there -- just read online that Mr. Sanford passed away, owner of Take Charge Indy. Was he any relation to the Sanford this stakes was named after? I can't remember anything about the family but it would make sense if they were counterparts of the Whitneys, Woodwards,..

Bob now takes over as the trainer and puts him on the grass. Interesting to see how he'll handle it.
miss you every day Shared Belief.
Songbird will turn out to be even better than Zenyatta and Rachel Alexandra. I think Songbird is the best filly America has EVER seen!!!!! :-)

  • Pebbles via Disqus · You must not have seen too many filly's. Right now her 3 year old campaign pales in comparison to Rachel Alexandra's. Her only chance to make her presence felt is to At this point, she could not hold a candle to Ruffian speed wise. Rufian you may recall either broke or set a stakes/track record in every start she made as a 2 and 3 year old filly save her last. Songbird has yet too carry weight against other distaff horses. That will tell what a competitor she is. Zenyatta carried 129 pounds twice. I know of no horse male or female that carried that much weight in North American racing. And these are recent horses, look back at Busher, Gallorette, Azeri, Regret, Twilight Tear, etc. Songbird has a chance to be one of the best ever. There is no doubt about that. But let's keep the plaudits reasonable. She has yet to step up in class and win. Let us see her accomplish that first. · 66 days ago

You are still alive and kicking in my heart, beautiful one. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/ec87c900308460a3d0eed045c0c6e72b8f0d33b2fc0891710340bce4fb620930.jpg Remembering you on the day you left us.....
This guy has really impressed me in his works. Really well bred. Several top sires and the last female Kentucky Derby winner in his pedigree.
https://www.facebook.com/darleystallionsofficial/videos/1713129055683513/ Ny says: I'm still fast!!
Found it...less difference than I thought... Arrogate ran 17 more ft than CC
Has been retired
How did Canterbury not get any stakes upgrades? I am seriously angry by this. The Mystic Lake Derby should be Grade 3, but no. What is wrong with us? Anyone have any thoughts? I'm interested in hearing your ideas.
Can't get enough of the BCC 2016, I was at SA and saw the stretch run unfold before my eyes...very curious, has anyone seen the beeakdown of how many more feet than CC that Arrogate ran...he was outside of CC the entire race...my pt is...he was much the best that day...
Now the question for this horse is do they keep him on the main track, or do they try to get him on the turf.
But let us not forget the things that Unbridled's Song passes on to his kids aside from speed. Highly prone to foot injuries. I just hope he comes through with no mishaps.
They did not demote any other male dirt races. Also the Arlington-Washington Futurity was ungraded. This committee's contempt for the sports history and eagerness to dismantle the structure of historical racing is horrifying. Guess what the last G1 race demoted had been before this massacre? The Pimlico Special a race won by 4 TC winners and the ONLY G1 race at 9.5 for older horses!
With all of the retirements, Hoppertunjity could have his pick of races in 2017.
Retired and will stand at Gainsway for $10,000

Cathryn Sophia will he bred to Pioneerof the Nile for a 2018 foal.
  • andthey'reoff · Nice. I would have gone to American Pharoah. That way you'd have a Derby and Triple Crown winner as a sire and a Oaks winner as a dam. Also, what are your thoughts on the stakes gradings and do you think Canterbury got treated unfairly? · 20 hours ago
