  • DeadHeat · And many of you need one in reality. What i said is completely true. If you want to be technical, over 90 of horses in this sport are not clean, but are because of what is made legal. Winstrol was at the time, so even it showed up in Curlin's blood, it would have been fine. I also provided you with facts above that say that that particular drug does not produce much weight gain or muscle gain, unlike typical steroids. That particular drug is actually used to treat conditions that cause swelling, and it reduces it. Swelling typically comes from when blood flows highly to one area of the body causing it to swell and become stiff and painful. If it reduces swelling then this drug would be an equivalent to aprin or motrin to humans. · 212 days ago ·

It was a sweltering August evening in suburban St. Louis, and I can still remember the sweat dripping from my forehead, momentarily blurring my vision from the copper chestnut beauty that was just a few feet away from me. All week I thought of the Whitney that was approaching, I thought about the Whitney’s that I had a chance to watch. The older versions that I had to search for and YouTube, all the way to the recent ones I watched live on TV. What a great race it is, one of my favorites! I read everyone’s commentary...Read More

  • icyhotboo · Very nicely written. I believe Blame to this day doesn't get the credit he deserves. Not only did he run down QR but held off a monsterous charge by Zenyatta in the BCC. Where he belongs in the ratings I don't know or really care. His heart proved to be the largest part of him. Watching the Whitney I never thought he would get to QR who at that distance can be called formidable. · 292 days ago ·

We have 31 years of Whitney history in the HRN database, but only 7 of them are prior to 1988. If anyone has data on older Whitney's they could add, that would be great!
Tizway handled a deep and talented field, two turns, and 1 1/8 miles with aplomb Saturday afternoon at Saratoga Race Course, rolling to an emphatic three-length victory over Flat Out in the 84th running of the Grade 1, $750,000 Whitney Invitational Handicap. Read More

  • DeadHeat · Rail Trip has never struck me as a slow horse, especially when he ran 1.40 and change for 8.5f last out ;) Look for a horse you know has the tactical speed to rate but will be the closer to the pace, 5 or 6 from the front. Saratoga is deep and tiring, more than some other tracks in the US, so when a horse looks like it is running slow, it is probably running evenly, when it is running evenly it's probably running fast, and when your going fast your burning up the track. · 300 days ago ·
