  • johnsnare · As a former owner, I came in contact with many trainers and owners, who had the same opinion as I. the distance is not aways the problem, unless you are pushing a horse whose pedigree profile is running short. Most trainers agree, that the longer distance is a little kinder, since the horse is not running full out, as he would be in a sprint. The gene profile , also has to be considered.. · 246 days ago ·

  • jasen.mangrum · I think they tried to take it to Hansen was because they chased him in the IA Derby and that didn't work, so they wanted to try and take the race to him early. This one showed that when necessary (cheap speed that will assuredly back up), you could rate him outside the pace setters and simply press. POSTION is not VELOCITY.....The true need to lead HAS to be out front every time. This one doesn't. Watch out for the Dorochenko pair. I'm suspecting that Hero of Order is a rabbit against Hansen, to set it up for the late running Macho Bull.

Hansen breezed 5f in 1:01.60 (1/1) at the Trackside training center in Louisville on July 24. The Aug 4 West Virginia Derby is probably next.

I think he could be minor grade 2 company, and looks like a real nice grade 3 colt, not sure if hes ready for $750,000 grade 2. Slight class disadvantage.
