What the Horse Racing Nation is saying about the Swale...

With a few more 3-year old stakes races on the books, it is time to take another look at some newcomers that have made some noise on the Derby trail but are not necessarily mainstream picks.Read More

  • travel_vic · Early horse on an well known EARLY track........IF this one can reproduce that effort anywhere close (and against an honest, realisitic pace) then the giant might be something to consider. These three year olds sometimes get good quick as Paytner did last year. · 105 days ago ·

Perretti Racing Stable LLC’s Forty Tales, who closed with a furious rush to fall a half-length short of catching Honorable Dillon in the $150,000 Hutcheson Stakes (G2) at Gulfstream Park on Feb. 2 as the favorite for trainer Todd Pletcher, will get another chance over the same seven-furlong distance...Read More

For the first time since 1986 Churchill Downs has elected to overhaul the Kentucky Derby qualification system in favor of a 4-tiered points system. • buckpasser · Dani. To me the Breeders Cup is important to American Awards, but the fact that top tier European horses do not come here because winning the Breeders Cup does not enhance their stud value. I think that by lessening the Juveniles impact on the Derby trail, you will see a shift towards the three yr old season. There is no win and you're in for the Juvenile and all it will become is a quick pay day. Nothing to knock, but not of the same significance. To me a lot of the purpose of a world wide championship seems to be lost each year. INMO the breeders cup is not what it was supposed to be. It was to move around to other tracks in NA, which now it seems to alternate between two tracks with Stronach wanting to have it permanently at Santa Anita. The BC is just not what it was set up to be in my opinion and I think this new system will change the juvenile races too. · 274 days ago ·

It is unfortunate we have to do it, especially for the fans. But, there are actually website that make money, even farms, who have lifted images they had more than enough money to pay for. Again, I wish the situation were otherwise. Hope you still enjoy the images. · 442 days ago ·
