What the Nation is saying about the Spinaway...

Sweet Reason was ultra-impressive in her career debut. The daughter of Street Sense took to the sloppy Saratoga main track that afternoon like Lindsey Lohan to the tabloids … even if it did take a while. The $185,000, 2012 Keeneland September Sale yearling purchase looked to be stuck in quicksand du...Read More

Sweet Reason may have won an off-the-turf maiden race to begin her career August 11, but the performance was impressive enough for her to open at odds of 8-5 on the tote board for the Grade 1, $300,000 Spinaway for 2-year-old fillies Sunday at Saratoga Race Course. Read More

Jenna, since you enjoy following 2yos' at Saratoga. From the same friend that told me about Honor Code today. In the stakes race to be run tommorrow, they told me about Sweet Whiskey. Her official work for 4F is a bullet .47.3 (breezing) He caught her on a gallop out of .59 under a very easy and comfortable hold.Just like Honor Code. Johnny V. was on board for the work. His exact words were Very-Very Serious filly.

  • tmallios1 · Jenna, the other Shug filly you asked me about ,Premura.I just spoke to my friend about her.Alyhough her works are not eye popping,She is very visually impressive. She is doing it effortlessly. He personally likes to see horses work 5F prior to their maiden race. This one is confusing him, only because she looks so good on the track.Another filly to watch,is my man JJ Toners' filly Recepta. She looks to be working nicely. · 232 days ago ·
  • sosotricksy · I have heard good things about Recepta as well. · 232 days ago ·

  • Capper · Brian, I thought you'd go with your boy Steamin' Willie Beamin as your horse of the meet. He's not the fast 3yo in his barn, I'd give Alpha the nod. 2 time G1 winner at the meet & part of only "official" dead heat in Travers history. · 592 days ago ·
