  • Protagonist · Banned did a great job, winning the Del Mar Derby ,as did his rider Go Go Gomez. Thanks Go Go, you really made my Sunday a nice one. As I watched you win it while I was with friends at the ITW. My one friend couldn't make up his mind and asked me for advice, I told him Banned could get the job done, with You guiding himto that win.Great Job , Congrats! · 149 days ago ·

Experiencing Arlington Million 2011 in person is something I'll never forget. As the day went by, the crowd grew by thousands. Early in the day, A beautiful blue sky with cotton like clouds greeted the fans who entered the track. But, as we got deeper into the race card, the skies opened up, and the...Read More

  • Winplacsho · I haven't been to all the top level tracks, but Arlington is at the top of my list for sure. I made it to the 2002 BC & the Arlington Millions won by Chester House & Marlin. I was there last summer too, but that polytrack turns me off. · 169 days ago ·

  • icyhotboo · Again I don't mind a disagreement especially when I can learn something from it, well remember what I already knew would be more appropriate. I never owned a thoroughbred but I did have many standardbreds starting with a $1,000 claimer in 1970. As the years went by I along with partners claimed, bought outright, and went to the yearling sales in search of that one really good horse that we never found. I mention this only because we exclusively followed the trail of Meadow Skipper and descendants and that's where my "crap shoot" statement comes from along with "genetics". A genuine captain Ahab I was chasing Moby Dick. Whenever genetics comes up I lose my perspective. Thanks for your input. · 173 days ago ·

  • tiznow · Stacelita impressed me by bounds, she was a single to me and proved she was much the best in there. However, watching the Sec again, I believe strongly Banned may have been the best horse in there. I can't wait to watch his next out. And even though Gio couldn't get it done, it was a great race and my first Million visit was astonishing to say the least. · 172 days ago ·

  • medlocke · This colt has really and truly come into his own this season. His class told in Saturday's Secretariat Stakes. I don't think anyone would dispute that Banned and Wilcox Inn are 2 of the premier 3yr.old turf horses in America, and Treasure Beach handled both of them with a bit in hand. The other Euro horse representing the Aga Khan, Ziyarid, was really the only threat to Treasure Beach in the race. Treasure Beach is just another in long, long line of multiple graded and group stakes winning champion's sired year after year by the great Galileo. I.E. Treasure Beach, Cape Blanco, Frankel, Misty For Me, Seville, Rip Van Winkle, and Roderic O'Connor have all been sired by Galileo just over the past few seasons in Ireland. · 173 days ago ·
