  • AndyScoggin · It was quite a meeting at Gulfstream. Seven likely Derby starters ran well at Gulfstream: Hansen, Union Rags, Dullahan, Gemologist, Take Charge Indy, Trinniberg, and Went the Day Well. · 414 days ago ·

  • Floridaf · Horse of the Meet is now officially included! Matt, it was a great meet, and I was fortunate enough to see both the Swale and the Gulfstream Park Handicap. Later this week I will likely have a piece up on the Derby chances of the seven colts you named. · 414 days ago ·

  • icyhotboo · If the odds pemit I'm going to throw in a 3/6/8 tri box. UR just needs a prep and EP needs 1st or 2nd, #3 has a lot of upside 2nd off layoff and EP being the fastest horse with about the same LP. Michael Matz may just be there for a tune up for KD even though the purse is big. On a personal note sadly I didn't win the lottery, I didn't even want 1st second for a million - taxes would've been just fine. I think I need another job due to the fact every doctor I go to has at least 3 friends who want to shake my hand for a couple hundred. · 445 days ago ·

  • Herman'sKennel · Chad Brown is so proud of this horse, he has such an affection for her, he only wants her to be sound, God Forbid anything ever happen to her on his watch. Did it ever occur to anyone that he truly loves this horse and does not want to take even the slightest chance with her well being? She is in the very best hands and as someone who adores this horse, I thank God for Chad Brown · 448 days ago ·

Gulfstream Park track president and general manager Tim Ritvo is offering a purse increase for the G3 Rampart. If he can get two of the three champion fillies (Havre de Grace, Royal Delta, and Awesome Feather), then the purse would increase to $500,000. If all three fillies commit to the race, then the purse could go as high a $1 million. The purse is currently $150,000.

  • dubby30 · Not sure how you skip the Apple Blossom, I believe the excuse was she is used to Churchill or something, sounds like ducking to me, we’ve seen it before and we’ll see it again but with this mare coming off the layoff and coming back a 8.5f race with a purse structure of $500k and a Grade 1, then why would u target a $300k G2, are they afraid to come to Arkansas due to the monster in Havre De Grace that is awaiting the rest of this field. hmmmmmmmmmmm · 810 days ago ·

Unrivaled Belle always gives her connections and backers some anxiety before her races. More often than not, though, she provides some relief when the race is over.
