He's the one American horse that has the physical size, strength, ability, and speed to run out on the front end with the likely European turf milers that are headed for Churchill Downs. If he can run 8-1/2 furlongs on turf like he was in a 6 furlong sprint. As he did setting a new Del Mar turf course record in his first ever start over the surface, winning the G2 La Jolla Handicap in romp. I believe Sidney's Candy can really bolt out of the gate at Churchill Downs, and make himself the one for Goldikova, Paco Boy, Canford Cliffs, or any of the rest of the Turf Mile contenders to have to catch.
