  • buckpasser · I have always thought Secretariat was quite a good sire and as Rafi says an even better broodmare sire with Storm Cat among others. In all fairness to Secretariat as a sire, given the level of mares that went to him, he would have had to sire at least one TC winner and many other classic winners to live up to the type of mares he got. In many respects, this will be Frankel's issue to deal with-- given that the mares he is being bred to are the creme de la creme of racing. · 55 days ago ·

Risen Star had all the talent in the world, he could have won the Triple Crown. Lady's Secret was a fine mare. As a broodmare sire I don't even have to repeat. This is a tough one. Wide open race. I like Golden Soul in here. He won a 8.5 maiden last out at Fair Grounds. Brian Hernendez Jr jumps on his back again. He has done this before, last out. Almost same distance, same track, same jock. He killed the maiden field with an easy win by 7 lengths. He seems to have a nice running style to fit most pace situations. I like Golden Soul here, wonder what his ML is?
