What the Nation is saying about the Laurel Dash...

Owner-trainer King Leatherbury has decided to run Ben’s Cat in the $100,000 Laurel Dash in tomorrow’s Fall Festival of Racing card at Laurel Park instead of the headline race on the 11-race card, the $350,000 Frank J. De Francis Memorial Dash. Leatherbury cross-entered his star pupil into both race ...Read More
  • 7777don · What a Shock(ha ha)!! Considering past decisions made by his connections, running in the DeFrancis would have been the surprise. Although Ben's Cat is a special gelding, I don't believe he will ever get the respect he deserves because of the consistant decisions like this one. • arazi · szulcc - I agree. Where's the fun in winning a $75k race in the slop? After winning all these races, don't they sort of "owe it" to the horse to see what he can do? He's run like champion - he deserves the shot. · 983 days ago ·

  • ScottDick · Great article, sad story. Horse deserved a chance to prove on a national stage how good he is. Sad for his fans that he didn't get that chance. · 983 days ago ·
