Putting some win bet on Street Babe with Rosario in the irons.
Betting on Woodwin W and Granny's Kitten both at 6-1 ml odds.
He will lose tomorrow.Divisidero will romp
Not gonna pay like Derby Day, but coming into his own. Probably gonna single him in pick 3's and 4's.
gettin 12-1 on this bad boy!
What a Monster Horse indeed. I think that we will see something very special in the Belmont. We know that it is impossible to Win the Triple Crown in modern racing however this is a special horse. He will soon get the credit that he deserves. I have not seen one better since Spectacular Bid. How fun will it be on June 6th?
  • Blueyedhusky via Disqus · What is so monstrous about him? There have been plenty better than American Pharoah since The Bid. I can't wait for all this hype to be debunked in the Belmont. I think he'll be 3rd, at best. · 17 hours ago
  • cugel the clever · Excuse me while I finish laughing........................ there have been many better than AP since the Bid. Curlin, Zenyatta to name just two in recent years. · 1 hour ago
A lot of people on this site have been saying if a 3yo wins the triple crown it would automatically same him horse of the year solely based on tradition and precious triple crown winners getting HOTY. My question to those people is: should a 3yo triple crown winner still win HoTY if say you had a year where a horse like Chrome or SB won the Dubai World Cup, then beat the TC winner in the BC Classic?? Decisions decisions

Undefeated!!! So far so good!!!
  • ILuvTurfRacing · To date, 5 for 5 and he runs again on Saturday at Haydock Park in the UK in the G2 Sandy Lane Stakes with the long range target being a meeting with Hootenanny at Ascot in the G1 Commonwealth Cup in June. · 2 hours ago
Trainer Criquette Head-Maarek told the Racing Post today following Treve's impressive seasonal debut win in the G2 Prix Corrida that the next target for her talented race-mare will be the G1 Grand Prix De Saint-Cloud on June 28th, a race that's also being targeted by Cirrus Des Aigles, who dealt Treve her first career loss on her seasonal debut last year in the G1 Prix Ganay.
  • ILuvTurfRacing · I should've added, it's also a race potentially being targeted by the 1st & 2nd from this year's G1 Dubai Sheema Classic, Dolniya and Flintshire. So it's not a race Treve figures to have as easy of a time winning as she did today's race at Saint-Cloud. · 3 hours ago
Any news?

I for one like the move he will have several days in Belmont to stretch his legs on the track.
Just saw one of the weaker Belmont works yet... could not catch running mate and was asked to do so. I wonder, should he pass the entry box, if they will end up sending him. With no other real speed in the race besides American Pharoah, the post position draw really could be important, an oddity for a 12f race.
  • Chicken Dinner via Disqus · That's two in a row for this one, is it not? Not instilling a lot of confidence right now. · 5 hours ago

80 Year Anniversary of a Triple Crown champion. As we hope for American Pharoah to win the Triple Crown, this horse from yesteryear will mark the 80th year since he became the 3rd Triple Crown winner, following his father, Gallant Fox in 1930, who was the second TC victor. In memory of this possibly forgotten champ, Sullivan marked the remembrance of this "legend" two years ago, with this statement: Omaha is certainly a coveted horse. We regard him as a legend, a triple crown winner on par with the greats of the 1930s. Would it surprise you to learn that on July 10, 1935 DRF published an article titled "Omaha Best Of Bad Lot"? Maybe things haven't changed so much after all.
  • Sullivan · I don't know if they are still available, but DRF and the Keeneland Library had for some time the DRF Archives, going all the way back to the 1890s. I was tracking down information on Stagehand at the time, and while taking a short break could not help but be astounded at the title mentioned above. · 6 hours ago
I would like to acces a website to get a price for 2016 potential Kentucky derby starter; "ZERO HOUR" by sire BERNARDINI.
I don't think there's much that separates American Pharoah from his Belmont competition. In the end, the Belmont winner will be the one who handles Belmont's surface the best and has some run left after 10f. Of course pace and jockey strategy are important, but if a horse dislikes the deep sandy surface, then he's toast. Having run or worked at the track helps, having performed well in it is a huge plus, and American Pharoah has done none of that. Baffert didn't run or work Real Quiet, Silver Charm, or Paynter at Belmont either. They all lost. The only Belmont winner he's had is Point Given, who was 2nd in the Champagne at Belmont. Coincidence?
  • tmallios via Disqus · I honestly could care less if you interpet this response as rude. But enough is enough as to your possible hatred for Baffert. The examples you use to prove a point, just may be the worst in HRN history. Real Quiet and Silver Charm. 1 was beaten by the slimmest of noses by the horse hebarely defeated in the 2 previous TC races. To boot,Victory Gallop who beat him never ran over the Belmont strip. Then there is Silver Charm, he lost to Touch Gold by the slimmest of necks. Touch Gold in the Preakness, coming off the bench ran a monster race. Oh yeah, lets not forget that Touch Gold never ran over the Belmont surface prior to that. Paynter coming off of a mile race at Pimlico and going 12 F for the first time in his life, gets narrowly beaten by a major underachiever who was considered the top 3 yo going into the race. I thought i was arrogant. But nothing compared to you. You are so smart and know so much about this game. You can disect the reason horses lose, down to the slimmest of margins. · 7 hours ago
  • Pebbles via Disqus · This is a big stretch you are trying to make here. Baffert's horse's handled the track fine. Do you really think that training at Belmont Park would have moved his horses up from 2nd to 1st? A horse running 2nd in the Belmont Stakes has certainly shown that he can handle the track. The same goes for Paynter. How do you explain Point Given's performance? He won the Belmont Stakes. You also ignore the fact that it takes a horse more than 3 weeks to acclimate to a track. In acclimating a horse can face soreness and even injury. You remember I'll Have Another trained at Belmont and was scratched. Better to bring a fit horse to the Belmont Stakes for a run than have him scratched before the race. · 6 hours ago
was a confident winner as he was guided four wide in the stretch by John Velasquez, and never saw so much as a wave of the stick or movement of the reins. He almost looked surprised when he passed the horse to his inside. Here's to many more!
Bullet work this a.m., 3 in 35.08,,won't be long till she s racing again :)
She seems really sharp right now- definitely training super well. She's a great looking filly too. Wish her luck tomorrow. I don't usually say this but i really dislike her name. She has great bloodlines they could have honored them with a better moniker.

When you hear the comments of the Trainers of horses like Truth or Else, Frammento,Keen Ice and any other horse that is supposedly tailor made for the SCARY 12F distance. Read between the lines and see what they are really telling you. Do not buy and drink their Kool-Aid. To begin with, how many 12F races on the dirt are there. They are telling you ,that in comparisson to the upper tier 3 yos'. Their horses do not belong in the more conventional distances. Their only hope to winning is that the others do not handle the distance, and that their horses can negotiate it in a time that can win. Bottom line is that these have shown to be slow Race Horses. Many get seduced into thinking that they are the one, because they make up 2 lengths from the back of the pack. What they fail to realize is that ,even with that artificial close. They are nowhere near contending. So to you owners, here is a tip. If your trainer is whispering in your ear that your horse can run all day. Pray to the racing gods , that he can somehow run on the Turf. If he can't, you have a Graded plodder on your hands.
  • Pebbles via Disqus · What I have found interesting is that American Pharoah is not the only entrant without a start at Belmont Park - New York trainers of Carpe Diem, Frammento and Tale of Verve do not have a start there for these mounts, and Keen Ice, Materiality who started just this year, and Mubtaahij do not have starts over the surface either. The only entries with wins are The Truth or Else and Madefromlucky, with Frosted placing 2nd, The only horse with a graded stakes win is recent Peter Pan winner Madefromlucky. So, 3 of 10 entries will not have a prior start on the Belmont Stakes track. I think that moves American Pharoah up. Now. Materiality is training there as are other, but as has been noted the time they are putting in is not likely to be enough for most of them to really become acclimated to the track. · 10 hours ago
