I bet they will check any new female barn help for "bugs"--thoroughly. !!!
WONDER WHY THEY DON'T HAVE THE OHIO DERBY ON HIS CREDITS?
Scott Blasi is back working for Steve Asmussen - https://twitter.com/Txfleming/status/494081021345013760/photo/1
  • Goblin · I saw a similar tweet at DRF. Grening quotes Asmussen as stating, "He makes us better." I guess I'm not too surprised at this, but it's really a SMH moment. https://twitter.com/DRFGrening · 3 hours ago

Oh no!
Hard fought 2nd in her first race for CCR last Saturday. Looked great though
Has been transferred to Chad Brown's stable

  • Sullivan · All Chad can do that Azpurua can't is juice the horse up and not get caught. A much smarter alternative would be to give him to Allen Jerkens, who has a history of altering horses behavior to improve their performance. Jerkens senior also opted to stay in Florida this year. I wonder if this trainer change is more about running in NY than the horse. · 5 hours ago

Es Que Love nips Toormore by a neck to win the G2 Lennox Stakes, a career best to date for him.
jimmy theu still pointing her to the LONEACRES MILE
Looks like there is a 3 other than or never win 4 lifetime allowance at Saratoga, on the 8th of August, going 7/8ths. This looks like the perfect spot and it makes the 3/4 work make perfect sense. We will have to wait and see.
December foal. Get it? 2014 Haskell winner's dam
  • Jemster via Disqus · She has three winners from three starters. Bayern was her first foal to win a Grade 1 race. That's a nice record. :-) · 5 hours ago
War Command has been ruled out of running in Wednesday's G1 Sussex Stakes due to lameness, reducing the field to 4 runners and leaving Darwin as Coolmore's sole entry in the field.
Hearing this guy is at WinStar recovering from some kind of unspecified injury -- potentially done for the year. Can anyone confirm his current status?
Gregorian and Professor are both scratches for the G2 Lennox Stakes coming up at Goodwood today. Gregorian being scratched will very likely make Toormore shorten up even more now in the betting, IMO.
All systems go. 3/4 in 1:14 today. They must have a plan!Teddy Drone came up tough! We shall see!!!!! Battle of Evermore was a very good 3rd at Del Mar yesterday. Let's hope he follows the same flight path as bern Identity and wins second out.
The Connections of Untapable rooled the dice and shot for the Moon. The result of all this,it earned them a trip to Parx and now point for The Cotillion Stakes. Not belittling this race,it has its history. But to a filly that was head and shoulders the best in her division. The Alabamas winners trophy should of had her name on it. Hopefully the so called new breed owner will come to their sanity and respect the value of divisional races that their predecesors valued so greatly. All of a sudden in todays game, these races are rendered meaningless. They listen to their speed figure gurus and to a fan base that has absolutely no clue about racing. They want the glory, they want the story and all the fame that comes from it. What they do not figure on is the bottom line affect to the filly. This stab at Fools Gold has basically cost her the season. The effort knocked her out so much, that they are pointing to a race 8 weeks down the line. What is their move after that,The BC Distaff. With 1 race under her belt, she will get eaten up by the likes of the leaders of the Female Older Division. Assmusen is getting better at this. With Rachel she was succesful at 3 against the Boys, but the strenuous schedule killed her career. With their decision to run in this years Haskell, they may of ruined another career at an earlier age. Yes i am sure someone will come out and say that Fillies always run against the Boys and win. Yes but that is on the Turf ,where it is not as strenuous an effort. Zennyatta was succesful the 2 times she did it. But Shirrefs did it when she was older and much more developed physically and mentally. He also took his shot at the last race of the year, not during the Peak. Even the Hall Of Famer Bill Mott. With the fastest female horse of all in this decade. That would be Royal Delta,he took his one shot in Dubai and learned his lesson. Enjoy Bensalem , Pa. Ihear it is gorgeous that time of the year. You earned this trip.

  • Mary Z. · Well, tripleD, what must have happened is that he took a look at the pace scenario. Who cares? He changed his mind. Knows she's a very good filly. Saw that the pace was too fast. I don't even know what I said last week. Here, he wrote three thousand lines today. Something to read. · 13 hours ago
  • triple_double · Yeah Mary, I really missed the old format, which is more exciting and not boring. Now, I will only read a 3000 lines thread written by our beloved TMallios, especially after a big race and for sure I have something to say against his opinion. LOL Let's see, next week after the Whitney, especially if Palace Malice loses this race, you might see a 5000 lines thread by TMallios. giggles... LOL · 13 hours ago
She's currently riding a three-race win streak with her win in the Honorable Miss at Saratoga.
Will break from post 4 in the West Virginia Derby
Mary,Havre De Grace was fast, but nothing spectacular. To give you a barometer on how fast they ran at their best. The lower the number the faster the horse. HDG was running 0's (comparable to what the top older ones are running today) Beholder in last years BC Distaff ran a (- 2.5) negative. The Queen Royal Delta at her best was running (-4 and -3'son many occassions) Negative numbers. I think the best Zennyatta ran was (-2). Rachel was running (-2 & -3). But it is not the final figure that is that important. Many of these got credited for ground loss. That is what made Royal Delta more impressive.Hers were speed numbers. She was rarely caught wide.

  • tmallios via Disqus · Mary that is why along with you i was a huge supporter of her. Why i make the claim she was by far the best female horse of this century at her best. Winning is irrelevant ,unless you own or bet the horse. It is predicated mostly on the competition. As far as sheer talent ,speed and overall class. The rest could not hold a candle to her. · 18 hours ago
  • Sullivan · Can't wait to see Beholder run a -5 · 17 hours ago
