What the Nation is saying about the Belmont Sprint Championship...

New York should be the racing circuit that shows that change is both important and necessary if racing is going to advance.Read More

  • AndyScoggin · Mike in SB -- The big event at SAR is Travers Day amongst a lot of other great stakes races. Could the Spa handle another big event in July? · 60 days ago ·
  • buckpasser · I personally like the schedule, especially with the number of races for four and up. Personally as to Saratoga, I would rather see the Woodward back at Belmont for the fall as it was before. If they want a race at a mile and a quarter for Saratoge, why not resurrect the Saratoga Cup. It was one of the storied races at the Spa years ago, and won by a veritable who's who in racing. · 60 days ago ·
hey vodka k ,rudy won a G3 race at the spa today, it can't be that hot where you are that you missed it.you are always so complementary of him all the time.even when he is not winning. i figured you would be first on line to congratulate him. oh well,i guess i was wrong.

  • rafirox · The trainer, jockey DO make a difference. However, the HORSE won the race, the trainer and jockey GUIDED him in the proper direction. Rudy winning a G3 race, and you taking a shot at vodkak for that, shows how little success Rudy (the drugger) has in this business. I'm glad my favorite filly since Novermber of 2012 (about?), My Happy Face, is in better hands of Chad Brown now. · 269 days ago ·
  • tmallios1 · raf i give you the last word.i could care less about your posts and i hope you could care less about mine.the nice people of this site do not need to be subjected to bull shit between you and i. so you got in the last word.i will no longer respond to your posts and your tag team partner sullivan. if you do the same and not respond to me i will do the same.others come here for their pleasure.so i will not read your last post nor will i respond to it. oh, by the way vodka k. rudy appreciates your kind and pleasant congratulations.he says rabid fans like you is what really pushes him to succeed in this buisiness.now we all know i directed these to my imaginary friend rudy.so raf and sullivan,i would like to say it was fun .but it was not. so this is my last response to the 2 of you.if you are men you will abide.have a great day and AMEN TO THAT. · 269 days ago ·

In my opinion, there is one “utility player” currently in training today that stands head and shoulders above his peers. The only horse to win a graded stakes race at both six and nine furlongs in 2012 was Caixa Eletronica. Read More

  • ashley.tamulonis · His Charles Town Classic win shocked me. When handicapping that race, I threw him out because I considered him to be more of a sprinter. Boy was I wrong! · 408 days ago ·
  • Buckpasser · I've always liked this horse. We called them useful horses who raced a long time gave their all no matter what and many times if the circumstances were right could win the big one. Pity is that there are not enough of these guys racing. · 408 days ago ·
Opening week at Saratoga and Del Mar brought out the stars and record crowds!Read More

  • travel_vic · Last year JB closed easily on 44 flats. THis year in the last two it took him almost into the 46 range to do much....this one became ragged during the Belmont meeting and never has attained that kind of move since · 633 days ago ·
  • buds · Zito is fine. He has probably more knowledge on horses than all of os put together, but certainly mote than forego139:-) It was Rosies fault jackson bend lost. He needs to be the leader in such a slow paced race, 48 1/5 (if i remember correctly), is way to slow for 7F. · 633 days ago ·

  • cocoa2 · 7f is a whole new category, not just a distance between 6f and a mile. Takes a specialist, sprinters have trouble here and milers are caught off guard. · 636 days ago ·
  • travel_vic · Seven furlongs is why Dr. Wiliam Quirin dubbed it the "bastard" distance. Specialists reign supreme here. · 636 days ago ·
Two of the most popular older horses on The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) circuit will star on Opening Day at Saratoga Race Course when Jackson Bend and Caixa Eletronica take on five other seasoned sprinters in Friday’s Grade 3, $100,000 James Marvin.Read More
