What the Horse Racing Nation is saying about the Forego...

Tim Glyshaw and his gelding Unreachable Star are attempting to win the $84,000 William Henry Harrison Stakes at Indiana Downs. This team of hard working trainer and hard knocking gelding has shown that with a little hard work, tenacity, and heart you can do big things even if you're an Indiana Bred.Read More

  • Mary Z. · No way is Turbulent Descent going to get the Female Sprint Eclipse. First off, not all of her wins can be considered sprints and her sprint wins weren't exactly fast, which is sort of the main theme of a sprint if I can for once openly like speed. Musical Romance is likewise not a fast sprinter. Too bad the fast females had injuries, like Hilda's Passion or Sassy Image-another one that had some bad races at Gulfstream. Here's a handicapping minor rule I use: throw out bad finishes for fillies at GP and any bad race by a horse that was stuck on the rail there. So I don't really have a pick for top female sprinter but I would really like some explanation as to why Switch was not run on dirt at 7f. as much as possible this year and not all the other experimentation? Not that I'm owed an explanation. Just put one in my stocking if inclined, thanks. Male sprinter: simply put Amazombie. Want more detail? I'll whip out equibase or it's there for all to review. Add in his DQ as a win cuz, truly not long ago he wouldn't have been taken down. Nowadays, yes, ancient times, probably not. · 170 days ago ·

  • ruhlmann · I also like Jackson Bend in the BCSprint. Hopefully his 0 for 2 record at CD is nothing to worry about. If he runs with that burst like he did in the Forego & Jms Marvin he will be very very tough to beat. There should be plenty of pace to run at, with Euroears & Giant Ryan. · 211 days ago ·

  • Mike in SB · I thought Havre de Grace's win was the most impressive of the weekend by far, and with Flat Out winning the Gold Cup, she has to be the favorite for the Classic. Actually a lot of the Breeders Cup races are starting to look pretty good. Havre de Grace, Uncle Mo and the rest in the Classic makes it look like a better race now than it did a few months ago and the Ladies Classic looks wide open now. If the Arc Winner comes over and So You Think runs in the Classic this could be a very good Breeders Cup. · 240 days ago ·

  • DeadHeat · Mike I completely agree about the Classic. The fact that you have some definitive stars now makes the race come up much better. I mean with the list of horses i said in my blog, there are what 6 grade one winner heading for the race? Makes it look much more competitive. · 240 days ago ·
