What the Nation is saying about the Fall Highweight...

Caixa Eletronica may not have the breeding value of a Verrazano, but for many that will be watching his 69th lifetime start on Thursday, he has a whole lot more. Read More
Palace, claimed for $20,000 in the fall of 2012, won his third straight stakes on Thursday at Aqueduct Racetrack, posting a 1 ½-length victory in the 100th edition of the Grade 3, $300,000 Fall Highweight Handicap for 3-year-olds and up. Read More

Gobble Gobble! We have a very interesting Grade 3 stakes on tap thanksgiving day. Hopefully, we can cash a ticket and not look like a turkey (sorry, I felt I had to say that).Read More
Caixa Eletronica breezed a half-mile Friday morning over Belmont Park's training track in preparation for a title defense in Thanksgiving Day's Grade 3, $300,000 Fall Highweight Handicap. Read More
In my opinion, there is one “utility player” currently in training today that stands head and shoulders above his peers. The only horse to win a graded stakes race at both six and nine furlongs in 2012 was Caixa Eletronica. Read More

  • ashley.tamulonis · His Charles Town Classic win shocked me. When handicapping that race, I threw him out because I considered him to be more of a sprinter. Boy was I wrong! · 493 days ago ·

  • Buckpasser · I've always liked this horse. We called them useful horses who raced a long time gave their all no matter what and many times if the circumstances were right could win the big one. Pity is that there are not enough of these guys racing. · 493 days ago ·

  • shadowno · The Sigmund Sommer stable was a leading $$$ winner throughout the decade of the 70's. He had a boatload of top horses including Sham< Autobiography, Never Bow, Big Shot and Prince Dantan. Left an estate of 1 Billion 1979 dollars. Sommer and Pancho Martin were among the main faces of NY racing so it was a hell of a lot more than luck going for them. Highly ignorant and disrespctful to paint Sigmund Sommer as a flash in the pan. · 586 days ago ·

So I see the connections of Willy Beamin are at it again. For the second time in the past three months, the three-year-old son of Suave will attempt to wheel right back in a graded sprint just days removed from competing in a two-turn stakes race. The first time he did the deed, things could not hav...Read More

  • RyanBrady · Sunrise Smarty is my pick in this race, because he is not "The Highweight", and his early speed on the Aqueduct racetrack (Main or Inner) is as dangerous as they come. If Todd Pletcher leaves one of his in the race rather than opting for The Grade 1 Cigar Mile on Saturday then they will be the ones to beat on paper. One of the nicer editions of this race in recent years. · 959 days ago ·
