  • Mary Z. · So maybe he will be able to buy a well-bred yearling and have another HOTY. Selling HDG does not equate to not caring about her or not being appreciative of her accomplishments. It also is not a death sentence even if she were to go to Japan. I might just comment that I'm hungry next time someone goes off on that tangent. As for BL, I'll take the word of someone who cared for her on a daily basis over a newspaper report. · 36 days ago ·

  • footlick · bellesforever1- the racing secretary is supposed to weigh the horses to finish together. I think he gave them the correct weight spread. If they want to complain that they should have been weighted so they would win, then that is different. But the racing secretary did his job. He is not the one who did not do his job. They were mad that she didn't win. Period. That is why I don;t like their constant whining about it. . · 50 days ago ·

Then again so does the West Coast. I joke around a lot but America is a great country to live in and I have traveled and lived in other countries. Once again the winner of the $250,000 Vanity Handicap (Grade I) won in last-to-first fashion, as Blind Luck swung wide to pass all five rivals through the stretch as the 9-to-5 second choice and edged 7-to-5 favorite Switch by half a length at the wire. Read More

Horse racing needs rivalries. It attracts fans and media attention, which is always great for the sport. Two weeks ago on July 16, 2011, at Delaware Park, Blind Luck met up with Havre de Grace for the sixth time in their careers in what has become one of horse racing’s top rivalries. • timgsmith10 · How can you say 1 has had a stronger career than the other yet? The season is half finished and maybe one or the other continues to race next year? As of right now HDG and B.L are VERY close in form and I wouldnt be surprised if HDG turns the tables at least 1 more time. And this realistically it will only make the rivalry stronger. · 303 days ago ·

  • footlick · They do seem evenly matched to me. Even though Blind Luck has come out on top more, not much really separates them. Blind Luck may be a little more impressive because she is not as tactical and it is always more difficult for the less tactical horse to win, but still there is not much difference between them as far as I'm concerned. · 302 days ago ·

  • DeadHeat · I think both would be equally as exciting. I mean, it was exciting when RA attemped to do it even though many were of the thought the older division was softer than normal and she had already faced males twice. If the Whitney results are formal the Woodward would not by any means be any easier than the PE. · 313 days ago ·

  • MarkRodriquez · Hey guys and gals, the owners of these find young ladies are giving us what Rachel and Zen's owners didn't. So let's not turn this East vs West rivalry into the charade that happened with R and Z. I love BL, i think she has a huge heart in such a small frame and also has a rags to riches story that began in a Calder maiden claimer. I don't have no reason to knock HDG. She represents the east just fine. One sticking point: Why doest the western horse always have to ship east and not vice versa? · 321 days ago ·
