Game on Dude deservingly won his race, but Clubhouse Ride was also a star and a horse I'll be watching. For now, I hope this horse gets some time off before his next big race. He's got alot in him and needs to get out of that 2nd place rut. Great race.
My likes- GOD, Caixa, and Ron the Greek (no order)

  • likin sparks · I would like to bet Caixa but this is a year later with more speed than last year and the track condition will impede him regardless of how he has done in the past. GOD as a 4yr old came in 2nd on a sloppy track here against some great competition and the final time was 1 second slower the Caixa's win last year, will he be able to duel with GOD, probably not. Watch the closers and longshot Isn't He Clever...Pleasantly Perfect progeny have done well here at CT and in the mud! Here's my main pick $1 Tri - 3,5/3,5/1,6,7 for $6 total · 949 days ago
  • likin sparks · Correction I mean't Isn't He Perfect, Isn't He Clever is Smarty Jones lil one, get these two mixed up. ;-) · 949 days ago
Clubhouse Ride placed 2nd to Game on Dude in his last 2 starts. This horse is the one to watch. He's due a big win and it just may be this at a nice price.
no doubt im seeing a repeat winner this year. Just like last year addition i think this time instead of the duke, game on dude will over take the lead and have caixa Eletronica over take him and power home
  • likin sparks · I'm really going out on limb here and if my dark horse gets entered I'm thinking he may just throw a wrench into the works. I do like your idea tcglory, both have been training well. · 952 days ago
  • BlueGrassBeast · Game On Dude and Book Review are here stabled at Charles Town, arrived yesterday afternoon. They are both getting a few days to familiarize theirselves to the Bullring. · 952 days ago
The West Virginia Racing Commission has approved the 2013 race shedule for Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races and in addition Charles Town has increased the CT Classic Grade II purse to 1.5 million in order to attract the competion the winner will now receive 1 million and the left-overs go to the field. The track had noted that it's ultimate goal would be to have the "Classic" upgraded to a Grade I.
I don't want to be a hater, especially with Charles Town being the closest track to me, but how can Researcher get stuck as the 3rd Also-Eligible. He's won both of the first two editions of the race, he's not a graded stakes success, but this really just isn't fair. In fact, three horses that Researcher beat in last years edition draw into the main portion of the field. I think this is a great field, and a fabulous race for a small town track, but this is injustice.
  • nayla1268 · I can feel your frustration but up to now this race was an ungraded high purse stake. Now that it has been turned into a major race for older horses it has drawn a much better crop of animals!! My choice for this race is also on the (AE) list, Schoolyard Dreams! All we can hope for is a couple of scratches. · 1687 days ago
  • ajump08 · Just to clarify I do completely understand the reasons for Researcher not being in the field, preference foes to graded stakes earnings first and foremost. My idea is that there should be some kind of clause to prevent this, any horse that wins a particular stake shouldn't be left out of it, especially considering that Researcher in particular has won the only two runnings of the race. My pick for the race? I really don't know yet. There is some expected slop, and I haven't looked at the pp's at all. Much tougher field than last year, plus Researcher isn't coming in hot like he did last year, I'm not predicting he'd win or even run well. I simply believe he should have the absolute right to run in the race. · 1687 days ago
