What the Nation is saying about the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Sprint...

BloodHorse is reporting that Breeders' Cup will be dropping the BC Juvenile Sprint in 2013 and thereafter because of "mediocre fields" (to paraphrase). It's both tragic and sad that the bigwigs took so long to realize it, one doesn't know whether to laugh or cry...

  • Sysonby · I agree with kay re marathon. The dirt marathon was probably my favourite race to watch in the last Breeder's Cup schedule. I'd love to see a turf marathon added but not in place of the dirt marathon. · 109 days ago ·

  • BrianZipse · It seems this field is the most transient of any BC field right now ... the folks at Stonestreet seemed less than keen about it for Katie when I visited on Sunday. Reckless Abandon has the free entry, but Dan Munn says he's not coming. If Beholder picks this over the Juvenile Fillies, she might be the one to beat. · 242 days ago ·

That was a nice pick on the #2 Out of Bounds as I wouldn't have reversed it as I thought the #4 was by far the best. After seeing your remarks I looked a lot closer and loved the bloodlines.I also handicap a lot of races that are interesting with but no intention of betting, it's fun.
