  • geldedridgling · Great job, but in the Dirt Mile, I believe the 45 and change half mile will do all the speed horses in as they aren't used to running that fast that early. Also, if you look at the horses Verrazano has beaten this year, he doesn’t seem as brilliant. The same for Goldencents. I’m looking for the upset. · 256 days ago ·
  • jasen.mangrum · I was really pumped about Clenor's chances in the BC JFT, but after watching Vorda & Al Thakhira, I've slowed my roll on Clenor just a bit. · 255 days ago ·

  • LAZMANNICK · Hey Rafi. I haven’t been around much myself lately. Basketball is all set to start and I’m guessing you’ll be up for that. I would like to see the Raptors do something for a change. My comment about the three graded races in about seven weeks was made more as a concern about what My Conquestadory will be like next year if they ask her to do too much in so short a period of time and at such a young age this year. Actually, I think that if she would have had several short sprints through the summer to build her up she would be a lot better off and would handle these three stakes races much easier than simply jumping right into them. I think that she’ll be at the top of her game come BC day though, but after that race, and if it’s particularly tough, I’m wondering about next year. How many two year old BC stars ever amount to much at three? Surprisingly few going back to Arazi. I’m glad that some of the top colts are bypassing the BC like Honor Code and Schoolofhardrocks, etc. It should make for an exciting buildup to the Derby as there are a lot of good two year olds this year. · 257 days ago ·
  • tmallios1 · Actually,in the NYRA feed. The only person i listen to is Maggie ,when she comes on.I have come to notice that she has the keenest eye in spotting horses from a physical perspective. She has been around horses for a while. She is very good at it.I like you,do listen for the Andy trashing.Almost like clockwork, you know they will be there at the end.If you are playing today at Belmont. In the 2nd race .The #1 horse Buddys Smart, was told about him a few months back.Nice horse,in his first time out . He fell back and ran when the trck was a highway and speed was carrying huge. The 2 &3 ran fast in their debuts.Buddy will be a Million to one here> might be worth a peek. · 256 days ago ·

  • AndyScoggin · Doug, definitely like this countdown list! The Juvenile Filly Turf looks like one tough field. · 259 days ago ·
  • ILuvTurfRacing · If Vorda gets the mile she wins the BC Juvenile Fillies Turf doing hand stands. I've seen every filly in this field race at least once this season and Vorda's turn of foot far exceeds the other fillies in the field, IMO. She's already a G1 & G2 winner in Europe, and her only career loss to date was her 2nd in the G1 Prix Morny at Deauville, and she ran a blinder in that race too finishing only 1 length behind No Nay Never, who I'll guarantee you is at least 3 to 4 lengths better than any of the other fillies that will be going to post. Euro , Jonquil or Paul-Nathan. I was looking at the Jeuvenile fillies.Although the locals have some nice ones.Looks to me it is going to come down to 1 of 2 off the Euros. It will either be Tapestry or Vorda. Personally, iam leaning towards Tapestry.First thing that sticks out is the sire and the connections. I also like her spacing a little more.I definately do not think that the distance will pose a problem to either of them.My question to you is,forget the tabloids and so called experts.Who do you guys like better between the 2 i mentioned.Or maybe there is another one i missed.

  • Euro Trash · As far as staying is concerned, a US mile is not as strenuous as a European mile. The firmness of the turf course might not play to stamina. Also as you saw with Sky Lantern last year, trip will be important. The post positions will be crucial, and the size of the field. I amy be biased because Vorda is French, but she has a great amount of class and quality. We will see. · 258 days ago ·
  • tmallios1 · Bias is never an issue.Like i said,i do agree with what you say.The 2 things this filly does not lack is Quality and Class. I have never ridden a horse ,so i can never sustantiate it. But from the people i have spoken to.A straight mile is definately in the favor of a come from behind horse. No worries of ground loss, also not as many lead switches.2 turn races benefit a speed horse. Not only for the reasons mentioned above, but the turns allows them to rest a bit, not to many are aggressive on them. wHEN YOU NARROW DOWN YOUR STRONG PLAYS IN THE dISTAFF AND THE cLASSIC LET ME KNOW.sOMEHOW I SENSE THE fUGUE WILL BE AT THE TOP OF YOUR LIST,AND RIGHTFULLY SO. · 258 days ago ·

  • amino998 · In the Marathon, if breeding, last year’s Hawthorne Gold Cup, and HRN fan rating are taken into account, Pool Play and Cease, Casse and Jacobsen, should be together. Can’t promise which time by the stands. Blueskies .03 HRN edge is of no consequence :) after all, PP & C both have Cox’s Ridge on the bottom. · 259 days ago ·
