What the Nation is saying about the Breeders' Cup Juvenile...

Breeders’ Cup Juvenile favorite Union Rags came up a head short in his quest to remain unbeaten and to establish himself as the undisputed Two Year Old Champion.  He may well attain that status once voting begins, due to his earlier accomplishments. UNION RAGS (Dixie Union - Tempo, by Gone...Read More

Hansen turned heads at Turfway Park when he demolished a group of juvenile colts in the Kentucky Cup Juvenile Stakes. He traveled 1 1/16 miles in 1:45.83.  Just two weeks earlier, the Michael Maker trainee dispatched maidens in similar fashion over the Polytrack. Hansen won his racing debut by...Read More

  • cathy.grimes1961 · I love this horse, but am not crazy about his pedigree. I am a sucker for free running horses that dare the others to come get them. If he can't make the classic distances, there are an awful lot of other ones, like the Met Mile. Would love to see him take that like another favorite gray of mine, Holy Bull. signed by Turnbackthealarm · 28 days ago ·

The choice to be made is who will be crowned a Champion, and as of now, the nation would seem to be completely split. • cugel the clever · @icyhotboo - note my use of the word "should" instead of "is". the award is usually given based on fan passion, the looks of the horse, the lobbying of the owners, etc. actual results and accomplishments are far down the list of criteria. that's why Z won HOY in 2010 and why UR will probably win 3yo in 2011. sad but true - same thing happens in elections. · 72 days ago ·

  • DeadHeat · Craig, Poly is far from what I call a neutral surface. I don't typically see a dirt horse relishing that type of surface. The Cushion is the most dirt like of all the syns and that is the on he ran on. Poly is quirky, even some turf horses have trouble with that surface. However, he did beat a very game multi surface threat in Candy. · 92 days ago ·
