  • https://www.facebook.com/chrismiskell · Based on that performance I just don't see him finishing better than midpack in the Sprint and I don't think he has the foundation for a top class mile at the moment. His next start will probably have as much to do with what their plans are for him next year as anything else. If they are planning on running him next year they should give him another start and then on to the Cigar Mile or the Malibu. If not they will probably roll the dice and take him to the Breeders Cup. The biggest problem they will have is Pletcher's training style. He does not excel at calling audibles with his horses' training schedules. He seems to have a couple training programs that he follows and then he plugs each horse into one with very little deviation. It has obviously worked overall, but in situations like this he should take a few cues from his mentor, Lukas. To peak by the Breeders Cup, "Bobby" should really have two more starts. Pletcher won't do that, and with his track record, I doubt if he even puts another one into him before November. · 206 days ago ·
