Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile hero Tapizar will enter stud in 2013 at the Beck family's Gainesway Farm near Lexington, Kentucky, it was announced Thursday. • footlick · This horse has seemed to run about 5 races before they have to give him time off. He has shown talent and on occasion brilliance, but obviously has soundness issues. If I were his connections, this is the time I would retire him, after his biggest success. I would love to see healthy horses keep racing also, but this one has had physical issues his whole career. If they kept him in training and he doesn't win other major races, the impact of his BCDM is lost. · 607 days ago ·

  • Capper · I'm always wrong about Shackleford, we're like oil & water. He's shown the ability to survive torrid pace duals & come out the other side no worse for wear, where others in here have not, so looks like I'm going to be including him in my bets. · 614 days ago ·

Well, I finally made Jersey Town give me my money back in his last. I wish I could feel confident pressing him, but, I can't. This is tough race for me, I will have to bear down a bit. I think Emcee is every bit as fast as Shack and certainly Fed. If Shack defers, Emcee could be gone. Of course, as I think through this race, I can come up with 10 different scenarios. I need to bear down a bit here.
“We’ve had thousands of requests from people who would like to meet ‘Shack’,” said Herman. “So we’ve decided to do a Meet and Greet this Saturday after he works. He’s supposed to work at about 8 a.m., and we want to invite his fans to come out to Clockers’ Corner and see him on the track. Dale will ...Read More
