Before the 3/4 pole, Canadian Winner broke down and lost his rider when Appealing Alex was unable to avoid running into him along the rail. Appealing Alex then lost his rider znd was later vanned off. I don't know what the status of the horses and riders are at this time, but I do know it was a heartbreaking end to the day. My prayers go out to all of the connections of the two horses.
