I wasn't impressed by any of these horses. Don't think they will make in impact on the first saturday in may

  • travel_vic · several of these had the energy distribution make ups to go this and further · 418 days ago
  • Sullivan · Apparently they were not suited to the distance as much as this one. Uncle Sigh, given a better break, did look good here, as well as scratched Kid Cruz · 418 days ago
omg the ml longshots in this race look just as good as the favorites this is gonna turn out to be abetters paradise. schivarelli and effinex both blew out allowance company going 2 turns last out and schivarelli got a 114 figure and is 15-1 ml omg cant wait to bet this race
How lucky can Kid Cruz get? The 1 post is a dream draw for this DEEP closer. I’ll be going with him and Noble Moon in the race due to weather conditions and pace setup.

  • jmac500 · It's suppose to rain all weekend , my weather channel was be way off. · 421 days ago
  • travel_vic · that track handles the wet very well. Even in downpours it still favors the front by a wide margin. · 421 days ago
FYI ,the extended weather forecast this weekend in N.Y. calls for rain. Some reports have it heavy downpours. Will know more when updated. Should really put a monkey wrench into the race.
Kid Cruz draws rail, Noble Moon #3, Samraat #8, Uncle Sigh #10, Soc Inclusion #11
I just noticed who the Sponsor is now of the Wood Memorial. None other than TwinSpires. They are a competitor to NYRA in the On Line Betting houses. But who cares,as long as we make a buck licensing the name. Just curious though, where exactly is all of the licensing money going to. I do not think that they increased the purse. Maybe it is to pay for the new Inspector snoop who will be heading all of the investigations that they will be launching.
I've been high on Samraat but this race is tough and him winning will be a tall task. So i'll go against him and go with Kid Cruz and Effinex.

  • tmallios1 · Kait one of those sources would not be the owner of the horse. · 422 days ago
  • jmac500 · @kait his pedigree is great for sure and his trainer/connections horses are scorching up the track lately but still unsure how he'll do because of his lack of competition. · 422 days ago
Social Inclusion by 5
So what's the story with the security? Do even the trainers who have barns at Belmont and normally van them in the day of the race have to find stalls at AQU?

  • ekindy · You're preaching to the choir here. I'm just wondering what additional hoops the horses themselves will have to jump through because of all this. I know Mott and Pletcher like to van their horses in so they can stay in their own stalls at Belmont and be more comfortable, but that may have to change for that one race (and maybe in the future all races). · 423 days ago
  • tmallios1 · The horses go to the Stakes barn. They are not allowed to go anywhere they want. · 423 days ago
same result ...same winner......SSSSAMRAAT
I don't think that Wicked Strong can win this race with Uncle Sigh, Samraat, and Social Inclusion in here. I will go with an exacta box with Samraat and Uncle Sigh.
With the addition of Social Inclusion to this race. If i had a big time closer i would change all plans and send him to the Wood. Unfortunately, the 2 horses that will be the closers> Noble Moon and Honor Code are very big question marks due to physical questions. I think i am willing to let that go with Noble Moon. I think he is better than these when right. With the price and pace scenerio in front of him.I am willing to risk it. The speed will be. Samraat,In Trouble,Uncle Sigh and Social Inclusion. None of these know s the meaning of the Brake. They are strictly all on the gas pedal.

  • cleclair1994 · tmallios, I think you need to watch the gotham again. Samraat sat nicely in third and made a move around the turn. Pretty sure he will get about the same trip in the wood. Sure there is speed but saying none of them know how to brake is wrong. Samraat can, and will. Will sit perfect trip and use that grinding run he has to run a big race. Think that kind of run can also serve him very well in derby. · 432 days ago
  • tmallios1 · Cleclair,if that is how you saw it,i will never try to sway your thinking. The way i look at it is that when you go into a race, your mentality is to run YOUR race, not someone elses. Personally when i say sitting off,i mean length wise. Samraat was stalking right there. Good luck if you bet him. · 432 days ago
