Just like in last year's G3 Dubai Gold Cup, Cavalryman bolts up to win the G3 Nad Al Sheba Trophy easily over Star Empire. He's 8yo now and still looks as good as ever. Loves the turf course at Meydan.

I don't think Star Empire could've beaten Cavalryman today regardless, but I think it would've very likely been a good deal closer finish had Soumillon allowed Star Empire to stay racing with the main body of the field. Not really sure what Soumillon was thinking, because Star Empire has always been more competitive when he's looking the opposition right in the eye in a scrap for the wire, IMO. · 148 days ago
