After watching the Sham and Jerome a few more times, I find both races to be pretty suspect. You never do know, though, and I very well could be wrong, but as of this moment, I would say tread lightly going forward with the contestants of these races.Read More

  • AcrossTheBoard · Thank you for the kind words IHATC, it means a lot. As for The Remsen, I have no clue what to make of that race. I was on track that day and I am very high on both Cairo Prince and Honor Code. I just don't know what to make of those fractions. Both did show grit that day though · 92 days ago ·

As we embark on that long journey towards the 2014 Kentucky Derby, I am reminded of what a great learning experience the road to the first Saturday in May has been for me personally over the years as a horseplayer. • AcrossTheBoard · The year Make Music for Me foiled my chances, I loved Super Saver and keyed him on top of a super while boxing like 8 in the back. I placed my bet and jumped on a plane for Cabo San Lucas. I touched down not knowing what happened in the Derby. Got a call from my buddy and he read back the 1-2-3-4 finishers. I was so close, it paid over 100k. If I hit that thing there would have been one heck of a party in Mexico! · 94 days ago ·

  • Sullivan · No casino, no Suffolk, under current management yes. Now, Buckpasser, is it really worth going anywhere near Suffolk Racino? · 100 days ago ·

  • Buckpasser · Cocoa. The quality of racinos depends on who is running them. Tioga Downs, Hoosier, Northfield, Scioto Downs and looks like many of the other ones in Ohio look to be well run and do a good job to support racing. Others don't, I agree. Let's see what Suffolk Downs gets. · 100 days ago ·

Lawmaker is the obvious choice here.

  • rafirox · My picks are basically identical to Sullivan's. I don't bet at AQU at all, but I wouldn't recommend it if the odds stay like the ML. Noble Moon, while #3 on my current list, does not deserve to be 6-5. Scotland, while I like him, isn't proven so being 7-2 is a bit overboard. Lawmaker interests some value at 8-1, but still not betting. Look for Noble Moon, Scotland, Classic Giacnroll and Lawmaker to all be in the mix. · 105 days ago ·
