That was a FANTASTIC finish! I love races like these! Congrats to the winner and the actually the top 3. I think we may have a rivalry in the works!

  • EP Taylor · I just watched the replay. That was an excellent race. So far the NY breds have put on the best show this winter. Hopefully Samraat and Uncle sigh can move forward off this and go 9f. · 545 days ago
  • Sullivan · In Trouble impressed me immensely. Am tempted to ditch Wicked Strong and Tamarind after how he ran today. · 544 days ago
I was glad I made the trip down to see a great performance! Fabulous!
If Lisa G. thinks Classic G. needs another work that's good enough for me. Stick with In Trouble, Uncle Sigh.
Classic Giacnroll & Monopolize scratched.... reported by DRF twitter.. the trainer to "Giacnroll" says he needs 1 more work.
Hope Samraat shows up today.
It's that time of the week. Please submit picks to https://docs.google.com/forms/d/18QT-w-C4qePiYek-fgUfd132GQ_PB3Y-Ov3GQLZKMCQ/viewform
Nathan, unless the track vet decides to play the bearer of bad news Manana. I have decided to venture into the Abyss better known as The Big Sleezy. Unless Motts water bucket was on the flight that had trouble,i wonder if they present a trophy for running 2nd. Andy,if you will be in the Paddock area tommorrow for the 3rd and 4th races. I will say hello.
  • amino998 · Maylan is off tomorrow but has the mount on this 2nd time starter Sunday --> “GRACIE’S HONOR, a bit fractious in the gate leaping up prior to the break, got steadied at the start when SHYLOCK and CUCKOO HOUSE collided in front {Men B. Chen should seen that coming :D}, grew rank under the restraint proceeding to buck rodeo style for a few strides turned sideways to the rail, was pulled up and subsequently walked off with an escort from the outrider”. Better get tied on… · 546 days ago

  • tmallios1 · Shack, regardless of the track. You will be getting great odds on the horse. Far be it for me to ever try and talk someone off of a longshot. Good luck to you. · 547 days ago
At this years rendition on Saturday,i am puzzled by the motives of one of the Owners. That would be My Meadowview Farms. For those of you not familiar with them, they are a N.Y. based operation. They have supported the game immensely at the sales in recent years and owning many horses who compete in the area. Iknow these guys, they are not only good for the game. They are sharp horsemen, which is why i am puzzled. This year their efforts at the sales were answered by the Track Gods with 2 top echelon 3 year olds, Samraat and Noble Cornerstone.I know these guys would love nothing more than to have not only 1,but 2 entrants at this years Run for the Roses. In a stage were points are at a premium, why would they run their 2 horses in the same race.Someone might say that being New Yorkers that they want to win the local Stake. If you take away Cornerstones last race, either one of these horses is capable of doing that. I am sure they have a good enough reason. But it is just puzzling.

  • tmallios1 · Not Todd,he does not and rarely works that way. If he thinks that they are viable Derby horses he will point them that way.Same as any other trainer would do. If Todd wanted to run Havana in a TC race,it would be the Preakness. Not because of the myth of it being a speed track. But because he would be catching horses not at full strength coming back in 2 weeks. Todd has to many horses to be chasing. · 547 days ago
  • tmallios1 · Just read an article in the DRF,said that both Samraat and Cornerstone were due to fly in from Fla. on Wednesday, but a problem delayed the flight til today. I do not like that for either of them. I knew they were training there.I figured they'd be up by this past Monday and acclimating themselves to the weather and track. For the flight to have been scheduled yesterday. These 2 have probably been on hold in some storage hangar for 3 days. Not a good sign.Says Todd who was gonna ship Monopolize on the same flight, aborted plans and will most likely scratch. Horses are creatures of habit along with trainers. They usually have the same training and feed and any other ritual, just to keep the horse knowing that when the time comes to race. This is far from the norm. · 547 days ago
