  • ILuvTurfRacing · @Euro Trash, Don't get me wrong, I have no doubt Geoffrey Chaucer is a bit better than he showed today at Epsom, but other than Australia he's gotten probably more hype than any other of their middle distance 3yo this season but frankly hasn't shown me anything yet to warrant it. · 272 days ago
  • jonquil · Heh, a bit better than dead last. I think you were just overjoyed that Australia's biggest rival within his own yard wound up failing so spectacularly while your beloved Australia won. I'd much rather hear opinions on Red Galileo's run. That was fun - I'll never let people live down betting on him to be last now. I wonder where he'll go next. · 272 days ago

Earlier today trainer Coolmore trainer Aidan O'Brien announced who will pilot his 4 G1 Epsom Derby entries on Saturday. As expected, son Joseph O'Brien will have the mount on Derby favorite Australia. Ryan Moore has chose to ride Geoffrey Chaucer, with Seamie Heffernan picking up the mount on G3 Chester Vase winner Orchestra and Colm O'Donoghue will ride Dee Stakes winner Kingfisher.
Sad that Night of Thunder probably won't be running in the Epsom Derby... the UK will have to wait another year to end their 44 year TC drought.
  • Northport · The connections made it seem like Night of Thunder will do better at a mile, I'm sure seeing Dawn Approach's attempt last year proved that not all Guineas winners can get 1 1/2 · 285 days ago
