Impressive performance by Juddmonte's Snow Sky in the Derby Trial Stakes at Lingfield, easily beating a couple of very decent Epsom Derby prospects in Hartnell & Sudden Wonder. I'd imagine Sir Michael Stoute will be happy to take Snow Sky on to Epsom for the Derby off of this run. Disappointment of the race has to be Coolmore's Mekong River finishing last of 9 given how highly regarded he was last season as a juvenile. If Aidan O'Brien has any 3yo classic aspirations with Mekong River this season he may be better served dropping him back in trip to 10-1/2f and taking him to Chantilly for the G1 Prix Du Jockey Club(French Derby). He didn't appear to handle the 11-1/2f trip at Lingfield today that well at all, IMO.
