Older Comments about the 2014 Balanchine (G2)...

Certify sufferes her 1st career defeat in the G2 Balanchine. L'Amour De Ma Vie who finished 2nd to Certify in the G2 Cape Verdi won going away. Looked like Flotilla just hung on for 2nd with Pearl of Africa 3rd and Certify finishing out of the money in 4th.
My picks: 1st-Certify 2nd-Pearl of Africa 3rd-Flotilla 4th-Moment In Time.
It gets a little more interesting for Certify this time around in the G2 Balanchine, stepping up from a mile to 9f for the first time in her career. Although, her win in the G2 Cape Verdi at a mile looked so effortless she looked like she could've gotten 10f standing on her head that day. But still, you gotta believe Flotilla will improve for her run in the Cape Verdi and run a better race this time in the Balanchine, and you definitely can't just summarily dismiss Moment In Time who comes into the race off a solid 3rd place effort in the G1 E P Taylor Stakes at Woodbine her last time out. Wouldn't be surprised to see Pearl of Africa run another big race also, but based on that Cape Verdi performance you gotta think Certify will take some beating in the Balanchine. JMO.
