Richard's Kid takes the Santa Anita by 2.5, and a strong run from Ron The Greek and Called To Serve complete the the tirfecta.....
Game On Dude is a need the lead horse who can't stand up to true grade 1 pressure. Fort Larned coming out of the gate ahead of him, and Mucho Macho Man brushing him off at the top of the stretch played out on the track in the BCC just as it did on paper. This race is a lot different. He's the lone speed. Even RTG who's in top form this time of year needs something to run at. I don't see where he's going to get it. I haven't seen a form but there's just isn't any pace pressure to beat this guy with. This is totally different from the BCC. Game On Dude should have any EZ time, whether they lift his tail or not. Maybe they should hold it tight and then let go, so as to get a sling shot effect..........
No way, Paynter will make the SA Handicap. Justin Zayat told me that he could be back to the races as early as May. They are going to be very cautious and take it slow with him.
