Well, I think that they had Goldencents better prepared for this race.He rana good solid race and won. As far as Flashback is concerned I never really liked him much anyway. All he has going for him is excuses. This race was no exception. More of the same. All I hear is how he will be better next race because of whatever. Sorry, but excuses only go so far. Racing the way he is currently, he will get beat up badly the first sat. in may!

  • cocoa2 · Yes, but the jock must've known he didn't have the winning horse, at least after 6f... Not hard to look under your arm and stop waving that whip. Horse now has no gas · 964 days ago
  • Mary Z. · His team thought they had this in the bag, so yah, he was going to get spanked to the wire. It must have been like, oh hell no; this was ours--not Goldencents'. · 964 days ago
Like Tiz a Minister, Flashback, and Goldencents (in any order). Also liked Power Broker, just not sure how he will do after a long layoff.

If he looks good in the paddock, I'd say Tiz a Minister

I think the SA Derby is going to be more competitive than most think. Any of the first 5 posts has a shot. I'm looking for the 3 or 4 horses to make some noise.
1st- Hear the Ghost, 2nd- Power Broker, 3rd- Summer Exclusive
I like Tiz a Minister. This could set up for him
  • zxswordxz · Didn't look at the PP yet but I'm going with Hear the Ghost, Tiz a Minister and S99. · 967 days ago
  • On The Gallop's · Hear the ghost will win this geared down. He will make his mover earlier then the San Felipe and once he has left Flashback in his wake it will be a simple canter to the wire :):) · 967 days ago
With his rail draw, I wonder if Flashback has any choice but to go get the early lead.
like I said three weeks ago I'LL TAKE THE 40 K CLAIMER.WHO CLOSED IN 5 AND CHANGE LAST OUT!!!!!!!!!!
  • travel_vic · yes but can that same animal close that quickly versus a 1:11 3/5 versus a 1;12 3/5 me thinks not · 969 days ago
it is me who stated 2 weeks ago that ORB is a super horse and he will going to win the Florida Derby and people were laughing at me, now everybody said that ORB is indeed a very talented horse, may win the kentucky derby, it is still one month to go, other horses can develope miracle things, so i will wait until the derby times come and select final 6 horses and i will play among those selections which i do in every kentucky derby.
power broker ok -------flashback is best in s.a.d
ORB will win kentucky derby he is best of all
superhorse is ORB
Goldenscents and SNN are rabbits for this race and Power Broker will pick up the pieces.
once a horse flop in the race, there is no second chance? HERE THE GHOST has superb pedigree and he derserves win?
A week away, but I'm pretty sure this guy cruises to a win in the Santa Anita Derby.
Power Broker set to make 3 yr. old debut in SA Derby according to B. Baffert.

  • Mike in SB · Most of the 50 point preps were won by longshots, except for Verrazano, but I think the favorites will do well in the big 100 point races. Hear the Ghost and Flashback in the Santa Anita Derby. If longshots do dominate the last group of preps it will be a much different Kentucky Derby than most people expected in January. · 973 days ago
Tiz a Minister caught my eye in the San Felipe I am excited to see him in the Santa Anita Derby.
