  • tmallios1 · The difference is that Noble Moon was wiped out at the start,he was 8 wide on the turn.Taking trip into consideration,he ran 5 to 6 lengths faster than Wicked who had a clean trip sitting off easy fractions. The track was not playing slow that day.It was playing to the outside sweep.Evey horse that won except 1 came on the sweep.Exactly where Prado and Wicked ran.The only inside horse to win that day,was in the 7th race. When Candyman E won by daylight. Our horse Don Tito got beat for 2nd by a nose.He rode the dead rail the entire race. When Noble Moon ran.The track played speed and pace the entire day. Not only was Wickeds race not fast,he was on the best part of the track the entire trip. You are right, time is irrelevant. The relevant factor is the variant that day. The 2 variants were so opposite. It favored Wicked and Noble was way against it.To boot, for a straightaway mile, the pace in the Stake was pedestrian. Moon closed from way back without a pace to run at. He did it on his own, losing valuable ground. If you do not believe me on Wickeds bias, please go back and review the races. There were only 5 dirt races run that day. · 296 days ago
  • tmallios1 · I am sorry,i did not notice your ORB comment. The difference is that Orb was running fast even in defeat. His only bad early race was 2nd out at Belmont .when something went wrong. In his 3rd race,he lost to Vyjack in a sprint. That was 1 of the 2 fastest maiden races for 3yos over the track. So because Orb did not win is irrelevant. He was always running fast. · 296 days ago
