Well betting on this race would be crazy but I'll go with Kettle Corn and Dullahan.
You guys go ahead! Count out Paynter! He's only going to get better and better! Watch out!

  • goblin · I think that's correct, kay. Baffert's twitter this A.M. indicated going to the Woodward. https://twitter.com/Midnightlute · 1208 days ago

If game on Dude enters this race, it's a race for 2nd. Game on Dude has too much class

  • buds · Like I said he often loses when the big boys come to town. or as TV would say the energy distribution among elite competitors is notoptimal for his fractional splits leading to key pace issues that would hamper, if not negate his statistical chance of winning at this venue · 1208 days ago
  • ariana.kornaus · Game On Dude will lose. Kettle Corn almost beat him in his last race. This is his race to lose just like the breeders' cup classic · 1208 days ago
My first impulse is too pound g.o.d try to get back money I lost during summer
Final workouts for the Pacific Classic are scheduled Sunday for Game On Dude and Kettle Corn at Del Mar and defending champion Dullahan at Churchill Downs.
The 2013 edition of the Pacific Classic could very well be its best, especially if HOY synthetic monster Wise Dan decides to show up. With leading California miler Jeranimo, G1 south american import Indy Point, stakes record holder Dullahan and seasonally undefeated Game on Dude all targetting the race, it could very well be the showdown we were hoping for. The race makes more sense for Wise Dan than one might think - on his best surface, poly, it is a little long at 10f, but should he clintch it, he would have his best chance at Horse of the Year, seeing as he beat GOD and Indy Point. Anyone know a way to send letters to Lopresti begging him for this?

  • travel_vic · It is truly ODD the way the differing formula of Polytrack change over time. When I see Turfway, Arlington, Woodbine and Keeland, then compare those surfaces to Del Mar, the COLOR of the material itself shows how a WIDER gradient of temperatures have some how oxdized one differently to all the others. Ours here is almost black, not so Del Mar · 1233 days ago
  • travel_vic · The way the polytrack is maintained, or should be maintained as the manufacturers standards, has not been uniformly followed. The material ages and need variable (different components of the mix) updates: jelly cord, basic material..The stuff is filthy and waxy to the touch · 1233 days ago
